The Zeravshan, a nice oriental-styled restaurant named after the river in Central Asia, is situated in the south-east of Moscow, close to the Kuzminki metro station. The restaurant's interiors are designed in oriental style with bright colors predominating in the decor. The walls are decorated with colorful carpets and national music instruments; the ceiling features intricate stucco moldings. Every day from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. live music concerts are held, and rest of the time the guests of the Zeravshan enjoy the singing of a Samarqand nightingale. In the evening leading belly dancers of the Russian capital give their performances in the Zeravshan Restaurant. The basis of the restaurant's menu is formed by Uzbek dishes cooked to ancient recipes. The restaurant is proud of its plov (pilaw), lagman, shurpa, kebab, and shashlik. The menu of the Zeravshan also features dishes of European, Russian and Caucasian cuisines.
