The Dzhonka Restaurant is located in Tverskoi Boulevard, in the building of MHAT named after M. Gorky. It was one of the first Chinese restaurants in Moscow. The interior of the restaurant is designed as a traditional Chinese boat calling "junk". The walls are decorated with Indian ink drawings, masks, and fans. At the entrance there is an aquarium with decorative fishes. The restaurant consists of two halls: the Chinese hall intended for 115 places, and two-tiered Japanese hall intended for 35 guests. In the Chinese hall the walls are covered with natural wood, and red lamps hang over the ceiling trimmed with tarpaulin. The hall is furnished with comfortable sofas, tables for two and round tables for 8-10 persons. The Japanese hall features the large sushi-bar. In the restaurant there is summer veranda.
The menu includes such dishes as Peking duck, special "Junk" salad, beef, Chinese ravioli, Chinese egg-plants, exotic dishes made of jellyfish, scorpions, and frogs. For those who prefer European cuisine the menu contains Caesar salad, pork cutlet, salmon fish rolls, and so forth. The wine carte contains sake, plum and apricot wine.
Since the restaurant is housed in the building of MHAT, its' interiors are often places to shoot the popular Russian program "Theater + TV". In front of the restaurant there is free guarded parking place.
